Lay Ministers Academy
Empowering individuals for effective ministry
20‑Week Practical Ministry Training for Working Christians
Why Lay Ministers Academy?
Lay Ministers Academy (LMA) is the official teaching and training ministry of Victory Bible Church International (VBCI), established to equip individuals who are called into ministry while still engaged in secular professions. LMA exists to help them fulfill their ministry calling with excellence.
This academy is a response to a divine burden placed on the heart of our Presiding Bishop, N.A. Tackie-Yarboi, who has been mandated to raise and train the “many who are called.” Through comprehensive training, these men and women are equipped to become effective pastors and leaders, ready to feed and guide God’s flock with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
At VBCI UK, all current or aspiring church leaders, including Deacons, Elders, and Pastors, are required to attend Lay Ministers Academy. This ensures every leader fully understands and embraces the vision of the church.

Five Core Training Modules

Learn biblical methods of healing and deliverance by following the ministry model of Jesus and the Apostles. This module equips you to minister freedom and healing for the expansion of God’s Kingdom.

Learn the goals and methods of evangelism, the Holy Spirit’s role, and discover your personal evangelism style while gaining practical church planting experience.

This module aims to equip a lay-person with the relevant and requisite biblical knowledge and skill in order to be able to lead, feed and care for God’s flock (The Church).

This module helps students deepen their walk with God, reflect on their call to ministry, and learn practical ways to maintain a healthy, growing relationship with Christ.

This module provides the opportunity for students to learn detailed strategies and methods for witnessing and soul winning with relevant real life examples.
