Welcome to Victory Bible Church International UK

Victory Bible Church International (VBCI) UK is a church that seeks to portray the full and vertical expression of God’s glory.

At VBCI UK, you’ll be welcomed into a friendly and loving environment by people who are excited to see you. We want you to have a glimpse of what to expect when you arrive at VBCI and have therefore provided the guide below.

All you have to do from here is come as you are and find out more for yourself!

We are one church in many locations; with sixteen branches within the UK, spearheaded by Bishop Clement Asihene serving as our Sector Overseer. Together we’re going after high-impact, life-altering worship services and a discipleship ministry that gives glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

News & Events – View all events taking place and join us. To filter the events to a specific branch, visit our branches page and click the “get in touch” button on the required branch page and then click “events“.

What to wear? – The Lord focuses on the heart more than on the outward appearance, and so do we. We simply aim to dress not to draw attention to ourselves, but to keep the focus on Jesus Christ alone.

The Five G's

In VBCI we believe that the essential “marks” of someone devoted to Christ and His Church are outlined in what we call “The Five G’s”

  • Grace – The individual appropriation of the saving work of Christ followed by baptism as a believer (Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • Growth – The ongoing evidence of a changing life and pursuit of Christ-likeness (2 Peter 3:18)

  • Group – Participation in the body of Christ and connection with others in significant relationship (Acts 2:46)

  • Gifts – Serving Christ’s body acceding to spiritual giftedness and passion (Romans 12:6-8)

  • Good Stewardship – Honouring God with one’s material resources and supporting the church using the biblical precedent of tithe as a goal to reach or exceed as God prospers (Philippians 4:11-19)

The Four Stages of Membership

Investigation – At this stage the prospective member completes a Bible study exploring membership in general, the Five G’s and the unique philosophy and distinctiveness of Victory Bible Church International.

Affirmation – The prospective member now responds to questions based on the study completed. This is a time of self-evaluation where each individual affirms whether the marks of participating membership are true in their life.

Confirmation – At this stage the prospective member meets with a trained leader to discuss the affirmations made and to confirm participating membership. Any difficult issues are referred to a supervising staff member or Elder.

Celebration – New participating members are presented at the Church Celebration with their small groups present so that our whole community can rejoice together.

Our Celebration Services

We seek to lead people further into a life-altering relationship with the living God and our worship services reflect that. The authority of God’s Word is preached without apology and His Son is exalted with gratitude and adoration.

When you arrive for a celebration service, you’ll find friendly people who aim to make your first visit an encouraging one. Our ushers will greet you and welcome you with a bulletin and make you feel at home and help you settle in. They will be on hand to answer any questions that you may have. If you have children from 2 years old through to 15 years you may check them in at our secure Children’s Ministry area called Victoryland.

Our services last approximately 2 hours. Our times of worship begin with music (mostly contemporary songs, with occasional hymns and new arrangements) and prayer. Then we open God’s Word together with in-depth, verse-by-verse preaching.

Bishop Clement Asihene preaches in all our branches and alternates between them.

When Bishop Clement is not preaching, our pulpits are filled by the Branch Senior Pastors or occasionally guest preachers. Sermons are captured on audio and video and available online for viewing or listening.

Our Families

Victoryland which is our children’s ministry is for boys and girls from the ages of 2 years to 15 years and is provided during weekend services in all branches.

Youth & Young Adults

Next Generation Church (NGC) is the youth and young adults ministry of VBCI UK. This ministry serves students from sixth form (16+) and upwards.

Meeting every Sunday from 3pm-5pm in London and 2pm-4pm in Northampton, students gather for a dynamic and contemporary teaching.

NGC has an annual residential youth conference dubbed ‘Next Gen Camp’ which last 3-4 days and takes place during the February half term.
