What We Believe
The fundamental teachings of VBCI are reflected in the following statements of faith. We believe in:
The Divine Inspiration of the Bible
We believe in the plenary-verbal inspiration of the accepted scriptures as originally given in the Holy Bible. The scriptures are infallible and constitute the sole and final authority on all matters of Christian faith and conduct.
- 2 Timothy 3:16
- 1 Corinthians 2:13
Holy Trinity
We at Victory Bible Church International believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as One God existing in Three Persons β Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible.
- Matthew 28:19
- 2 Corinthians 13:14
The Fall and Redemption of Man
We believe in the creation, and the test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis, his total spiritual depravity and inability by himself to attain to Divine righteousness.
- Romans 5:12,18
The Death & Resurrection of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and thereafter personally appeared unto His disciples.
- 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Christ's Deity and Humanity
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very Man.
- Luke 1:26-35
- John 1:14-18
The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation, and personal literal and bodily coming again to take away His Church unto Himself.
- John 14:2,3
- 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the Cross of Calvary by which mankind obtains remission of sins.
- Ephesians 2:8,9
- Hebrews 9:12,22
- Romans 5:11
Water Baptism and Its Significance

- Matthew 28:19
- Acts 2:34-36
- Acts 19:1-6
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as a real experience at or after salvation, with scriptural evidence, namely, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
- Acts 2:1-4
- Acts 8:14-17
- Galatians 3:14-15
Sanctification and Christian Living
We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and the perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as expressing the true Christian Faith.
- Ephesians 5:18
- 2 Corinthians 6:14
- 2 Corinthians 7:1
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as manifested in the Early Church.

Divine Healing Through Christ
We believe in the healing of the human body by Divine power, or in Divine healing in its varied aspect as practised in the Early Church.

We believe in the Table of the Lord, commonly called the HOLY COMMUNION or the Lordβs Supper, for believers.

Eternal Life and Eternal Judgment
We believe in eternal life for believers and eternal punishment for unbelievers.

Β
We believe in the reality and personality of the Devil and eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire for the Devil and his angels.
- Matthew 25:41
- Revelations 20:14,15
Universal and Local Church
We believe in one true universal church, consisting of genuine believers, but this universal church is made up of many local churches or congregations in different locations. Each local church operates under the sovereign headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, exercising autonomy in governing its affairs and ministries, including the spreading of the gospel.
- Acts 15:33
- Matthew 16:18
- Matthew 18:15-20
Respect for Government Authority
VBCI believes that secular government is established by God, and those in authority serve as His ministers for the benefit of all. Resisting governmental authority is, therefore, resisting Godβs own ordinance. Christians are called, for the sake of conscience and in reverence to God, to prayerfully give due respect, honor, and obedience to those in positions of authority.
