PRAYER FOR THE NATION

Prayer Points

Key Scriptures: Micah 7:7

1. Father in the name of Jesus we pray for the leaders of this country; the president and his team in the executive, judiciary, legislators and all in leadership positions in this country, give them wisdom and let your will be done through them.

2. Let your power cause them to ensure that our systems work, especially the justice system. We pray that You cause them to do your will; cause them to take decisions and make choices that will align this nation with your purpose. Let your power change their hearts to accomplish your purpose.

3. Lord we need your protection over this nation. You are our rock, deliverer, strength, high tower, buckler, horn of salvation and fortress. We ask that you protect us from harm and give us the wisdom and discernment to avoid dangerous situations.

4. Lord show us your mercy and loving kindness. Spare our nation from your anger and judgment. In your mercy forgive us, show us your favour and let us walk in righteousness before you.

5. Lord in your mercy remove evil leaders over this nation. Leaders who will not honour you, who will not allow your will to be done, nor honour you. Remove leaders with selfish agendas rather than God’s agenda.

6. We bind evil over our nation right now and declare that righteousness will rule in our nation. Let every evil be exposed and cut off. Let every agenda that is not of God be brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ and let the power of Christ rule and reign in our nation.

7. In the name of Jesus, we cut off, overthrow and dismantle any evil and its power over our nation, we denounce and renounce any evil covenants we have entered into and we pledge total loyalty and allegiance to God our maker.

8. I ask you that righteousness would reign in our country and evil is exposed and cut off. Jesus pull your sword of justice out and bring justice where every evil is. We declare every evil to be cut off. Let righteousness reign and bear fruits throughout our systems, institutions and government.

9. Lord let your power change the hearts of men and women in positions of authority and power, or remove those who will not rule and agree with your righteousness.

10. We pray Lord that You’ll intervene in our lives and deliver us. Supply all our needs as a nation according to your riches in glory through Christ Jesus and bless us so that we may be a blessing to others.
